Scatto Beer Brand: “Inspired by Gladiator”
Task:
Create a full brand identity for Scatto, a new beer line inspired by the film Gladiator, including brand design, logo, packaging, merchandising, and a go-to-market strategy.
Big Idea:
Inspired by one of Maximus’ horses, Scatto, this brand blends the power of ancient Roman gladiators with modern design. Elements such as gladiator masks, the Roman lunar calendar, and Roman tiling color palettes were used to create a visually striking and historically rich beer brand.
Deliverables:
•Brand Identity & Logo: Developed a logo that symbolizes strength and heritage, drawing from the imagery of Roman gladiators.
•Beer Cans Design: Designed three different beer cans, each inspired by the distinctive masks worn by gladiators in the Colosseum.
•Roman Lunar Calendar: Integrated the phases of the moon, reflecting the Roman lunar calendar and adding a unique, timeless element to the brand.
•Color Palette: Chose colors inspired by ancient Roman tiling, adding a layer of historical depth to the designs.
Final Packaging:
Developed the final packaging, which includes the beer cans and outer boxes, aligning with the gladiator and Roman themes. The packaging was crafted to stand out on shelves, combining visual impact with practicality for easy distribution.
Go-to-Market Plan:
Strategized a comprehensive plan to introduce Scatto to the market. This included a launch campaign focused on craft beer enthusiasts and history buffs, in-store promotions, partnerships with specialty retailers, and social media marketing. The launch would be supported by events that tap into the theme of Roman culture, offering consumers an immersive experience.













Merchandising Items
Created a series of branded merchandise items, including T-shirts, posters, and collectible gladiator-inspired items. These products extend the brand’s presence beyond the beer itself, appealing to both consumers and fans of Roman history and Gladiator.
